Clothes will be scattered everywhere in various states of completion, and you will be called upon to help sew, press, fit and tweak them until they reach a finished state. You will be asked to run pieces back and forth to factories, pack them into garment bags for shoots, and sort through them when they are returned.

Trisha and Shaina

Something you might not expect, however: being summoned to try those clothes on for the editor in chief of. “It was one of the most nerve-racking experiences,” says Trisha and Shaina, 18-Year-Olds, who, just doing their high schooling, founded The Tusk Boutique with the desire to make the clothes they hope to wear. “She had come in to preview the spring collection the Tusk Boutique is designed for petite teenage girls who want to make a bold statement with their wardrobe,” says Trisha and Shaina. “And she wanted to see the clothes on a body.  The red dress symbolizes the Latin culture specific to the cuisine and dance form. Shaina enjoys dancing and one of Trisha’s favorites cuisines is Mexican. The ruffles and the vibrant color define our “go with the flow” attitude.
