Actress Iqra Shaikh shares her experience of shooting in Gujarat, and calls it a ‘fascinating place’

Actress Iqra Shaikh, who has featured in the shows ‘Maddam Sir’, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’, ‘Rang Jaun Tere Rang Mein’, is all set to be seen in the upcoming television show, ‘Har Phool Ki Mohini’. She has recently shot in Gujarat for some scenes. The actress shared the experience of shooting in Gujarat.

Talking about her character in the show, the actress says, “I am essaying the role of Malli, who is the younger sister of the lead in the show. We belong to a South Indian family. In the show, I have a deep attachment to my sister. Interestingly, in my real life, I’m the eldest and my younger sisters are the love of my life. So, I feel relatable to the character I am playing.”

Sharing her experience of shooting in Gujarat, she says, “From enchanting scenic beauty to historical monuments, Gujarat is a fascinating place. I enjoyed shooting in Gujarat for the first time. I have always loved the fact that, as an actor, I get to travel to various places and experience different cultures. I am a big foodie so shooting in Gujarat was like a party for me. I enjoyed some ubiquitous snacks of Gujarati cuisine like Fafda Jalebi, Khandvi and Gujarati Kadhi.”

Sharing her excitement about her upcoming show, Iqra says, “I’m beaming with excitement and cannot wait for the show to release. This show is going to present me in a completely different avatar and I’m acting in a language that isn’t my own, so there’s a learning curve which is so exciting for me as an actor. I can’t wait to see the reaction from people to my performance.”

‘Har Phool Ki Mohini’ is a show that will narrate a love story of a Haryanvi guy and a South Indian girl.
