Fashion Design Student of NIFT Create Fashioning

Think about the dress you’re wearing today. Although it was probably made in a factory somewhere, at one time that style was just someone’s idea. Someone designed it, cut out a pattern, cut or ripped the fabric, sewed it together, and prepped it for the runway.

That’s what National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) students have been doing. Introduced by NIFT, The Lakkars Magazine aims to encourage students of fashion through showcasing, recognizing and launching outstanding talent.

NIFT students, who presented a dazzling display of their creative design talent on the runway, Ganji Vaishnavi has designed clothes for some extremely good that comprised amongst others. She has inspired all the women out there, to get up and make sense of their life.

As fashion designer Ganji Vaishnavi strode into the room wearing casual attire and a ravishing smile, I realized that her sense of style extends to her personality, too. But she says she is inspired by life:” Every new day comes with new ideas, inspirations and dreams.”

“I remember as a child, my mother has always had a lovely collection of chiffon saris, which she wore with her trademark pearls, with not just her looks, but also her impeccable style,” Vaishnavi said.

“My experience at [NIFT] was amazing. What caught my fancy was that there was a strict selection procedure in the batch of NIFT,” Vaishnavi said. She added: “NIFT really made me who I am today.”

“I was quite clear that I wanted to launch my own fashion label. I wanted to be my own boss,” said Vaishnavi.  “It has to be dramatic, something people wouldn’t wear in everyday life,” says Vaishnavi. “Has to stand out and it just basically has to wow the audience.”
